Invoice Watch ("we", "us", "our") operates the Invoice Watch application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and password (stored securely by our auth provider) when you register.
- Restaurant data: the restaurant name, location, and settings you enter during onboarding.
- Invoice data: images and files you upload, plus the extracted line items, vendors, products, and pricing we derive from them.
- Billing information: processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number — only subscription status and identifiers returned by Stripe.
- Usage data: device, browser, and interaction data collected automatically to keep the Service secure and reliable.
How we use your information
- To provide invoice scanning, cost tracking, price-history, and reporting features.
- To send weekly cost summaries and price-increase alerts you have enabled.
- To process subscription payments and manage your plan.
- To improve accuracy of our extraction models and the overall Service.
- To detect abuse and protect your account.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate — Stripe (payments) and our cloud infrastructure and AI-extraction providers — each under their own contractual privacy obligations. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Danger zone, and we will remove it within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls, and least-privilege service roles. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your data.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy here and updating the "Last updated" date.
